Just a quick post for today! Today was my second day of interning at Schildtin lukio. School started later than usual (around 10 am) and ended earlier (around 2:30 pm) so it breezed by very quickly. My task for the day was to really get a good understanding of the school from the student's perspective so I can use it in the video. I did this by walking around the common areas during class and bothering students who had a free period by introducing myself and asking what they thought was the most important or favourite things about the school were that I should include in the video. Since all the students were extremely friendly, I got a lot of answers! Interestingly enough, though, all of them seemed to revolve around three common ideas: the school's friendly atmosphere, the food, and the various arts activities. These were very pleasing to hear about as those (excluding the food) are very important values to me. Overall, the interviews were very great and helped me build a very strong backbone as to what I should include in the video.
After school, Luulia and I simply went home and had a relaxing evening where we ate, worked on homework, and chatted. One of my favourite things to to do, I realised is simply to spend time with my host family and chat or joke around. They are very warm and accepting people and a joy to be around. :)
