Today Luulia was back from Turku! She arrived at about 1 in the morning and got picked up at two so she was very tired. Therefore, we got a slightly late start to the morning, getting up at around 11 am. Then, we ate breakfast together and discussed our plan for the day. Maija, Luulia's younger sister, had a Finnish baseball game that she really wanted me to see. So, at around 12, Luulia and I headed out on a walk to the game. On the way, we decided to walk through the forest so that I could get a feel of Finland's beautiful nature. This was really, really nice and I couldn't stop pausing to take pictures.

This, unfortunately, made us late to the game but all was okay because we didn't miss too much. We enjoyed the game for the next couple hours (Maija's team was very good) then, at around 2, we walked back home, stopping at the store to buy groceries on the way.
As a treat for my host family, I made dinner for them. Something that they don't usually eat and is common in California: Tacos! From California, I brought a taco making kit and some ingredients for the dinner and, from the store, we bought lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado for them. By the time Maija and my host parents got home from the game, the food was ready and we all enjoyed eating together. They were very happy that they didn't have to cook and that t hey could try something new and I was happy to do something for them.

After dinner, we made a quick run to the store to buy all kinds of snacks and junk food for a Lord of the Rings marathon we were going to have! We got ice cream, chips, dip, candy, and crackers. We got home, set them all up, and began with the first movie. Unfortunately, we barely got through the first movie before Luulia got very tired and we decided we'd finish the movie another day.
